The So Foody Dietetics Story
Hi! I’m Ariana, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist. My mission is to support humans to fight back against diet culture, feel in control around food and eating, and achieve their nutrition goals in a balanced and sustainable way. As a Greek-Australian, I am also passionate about keeping Greek culture alive in Australia by sharing some of the best (yes I am biased!) Mediterranean recipes passed down through many generations.
After years of shrinking my body to meet unrealistic beauty standards, becoming obsessed with ‘healthy eating’, using food to manage my anxiety and allowing food thoughts to take over my mind, I fell into Nutrition and Dietetics. I soon found my passion for weight-inclusive care and non-diet focused nutrition which has truly changed my life both professionally and personally.
It is important to me that So Foody Dietetics is a non-judgemental, safe space encouraging vulnerability, listening, understanding and learning. So Foody Dietetics is all about practising self-compassion and self-care through food and eating.
