What is the difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
The dietetic profession is regulated and meets standards as set by the National Alliance of Self Regulating Health Professions.
Dietitians with the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) credential commit to 30+ hours of ongoing professional development annually.
Nutritionists are not regulated in Australia or certified under a single regulatory body. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist regardless of their qualifications.

Does my appointment include a meal plan?
Not a strict meal plan, no. While it might seem helpful to be told exactly what to eat, rigid plans often fall apart after a week or two—they don’t adapt to real life, personal preferences, or changing routines. Instead, you’ll get flexible, practical guidance tailored to your lifestyle, with tools like checklists or food frameworks that support long-term habits and autonomy.
